Since 2010, he has been the deputy marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship. In 2006, he was elected a voivodeship councilor. He has been associated with the local government since 1994. He was the vice-president of Gdynia (1994-1998) and vice-president of the city council. He obtained the title of Master of Business Administration of the Gdansk Foundation for Management Development. From 2003, he was the director of the Specialist Hospital of J. K. Łukowicz in Chojnice.

Councilor and board member since 2018. Ms. Kapała-Sokalska ran for the first time in the elections. Until then, she ran her own law firm in Gdansk.
