Education occupies a key place in the development strategy of Pomorskie. The self-government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship is aware that well-qualified staff is a recipe for successful economic development of the region. Not only the local government, but also educational institutions, educators, academics and parents are involved in improving the quality of education.

Due to the changing economy, it was necessary to introduce a change in the profile of vocational education in Pomorskie. Year by year, it is better adapted to the needs of industries that are key to the development of the region. The Pomorskie local government is working on greater involvement of employers in the implementation of vocational education, as well as in the process of creating the school offer.

Scholarships of the Marshal have been awarded to the most talented students from Pomorskie for over a decade. Scholarship support is also provided to the best young athletes from the Pomorskie Voivodeship. A separate and unique action on a national scale implemented by the local government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship is the Talented From Pomerania project. As part of the project, in addition to extracurricular activities, several thousand talented students from the voivodeship have already participated in academic meetings, science camps, and they have also been covered by scholarship support. In addition, since 2016, the marshal of the Pomorskie voivodeship has been organizing a competition for teachers. Its aim is to honor outstanding educators from the entire region with the title of Teacher of Pomerania.
