Analyzes the economic situation of the province, including innovation. Deals with raising investment capital. Responsible for promoting the region’s economy and analyzing documents related to municipal energy planning. Prepares and collects documentation concerning the Association of Polish Regions of the Baltic-Adriatic Transport Corridor. Evaluates draft development plans of energy companies concerning the satisfaction of demand for heat, electricity, and gas fuels.
Monitors the status of exploration, prospecting, and extraction of hydrocarbon deposits. It develops and updates a database of large conventional energy sources and renewable energy sources. It is involved in international economic cooperation, including the organization of foreign economic missions. It cooperates with the Pomerania in the European Union association. It provides services to the Provincial Social Dialogue Council. In addition, in the field of international cooperation, it implements the priorities of this cooperation, prepares draft agreements, coordinates cooperation with partner regions abroad and organizations associating regions. It also carries out tasks resulting from the province’s membership in these organizations.
