Cruise participants had a chance to familiarize themselves with the current actions related to the IW E 70 in Poland presented by Mr. Jerzy Wcisło, the Vice-President of the Team IW E 70.
A representative of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz presented the results of research on navigational conditions on the Oder-Warta-Noteć – Budgoszcz Canal – Brda waterway route.
The cruise was a good opportunity to talk about problems associated with inland waterway transport in the Lubuskie Region and how to solve them. Lubuskie Region is one of the co-founders of a unique local government initiative of marshals of five regions aimed at actions in favour of inland waterway transport and the development of water tourism centered around the Polish section of the International Waterway E 70.
The organizers of the cruise were: the group of Marshals of the Voivodeships for the IW E70, the School Complex of Inland Navigation of kmdr b. Romanowski in Nakło nad Notecią, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz and the Association of Towns and Communes of Noteć.
In the cruise participated, among others, representatives of the Lubuskie Region Sejm, representatives of the Lubuskie Voivodship Board, representatives of local government units. The captain of the cruise was Cpt. Grzegorz Nadolny.
