The competition is organized by the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society together with the Polish Sailing Association and other partners, under the patronage of the minister of sport and tourism. The prize rewards the investments and other initiatives which make shores of Polish lakes, rivers, sea and channels more human-friendly. Every year rewarded are the projects related to water tourism, such as the construction and modernization of sailing marinas and boathouses, investment programs including cities, regions, waterways, actions of individuals, clubs and associations, governments and other institutions and organizations.
