Marshals and invited experts took up issues related to economic and touristic development of the rivers and integration of national waterways with the European transport network TEN-T. The debate concerned also planned reform of water management and changes in Water Law.
Among the guests were: the Deputy Minister of Environment Stanislaw Gawłowski, President of the National Water Management – Witold Sumisławski, The President of the Convent of Directors of Land Reclamation and Water Facilities Managements – Joanna Gustowska, as well as the experts specializing in this subject: prof. Zygmunt Babiński of Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, prof. Bartosz Rakoczy of Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń and a visitor from the Netherlands, an urban planner Huub Droogh, who presented good practices related to the development of the waterways in his country. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship – Dorota Jakuta.
