At this conference, the participants presented potential, management, promotion and activation of the reservoir, current state of degradation of the Lower Vistula caused by an individual water step and negligence in building next ones. All this in relation to the existing hydrological condition or advisability of construction of further steps in the vicinity of Włocławek.
During the cruise, there was also a presentation of legislation state of strategic documents related to water management, examples of management of reservoirs similar to that from Włocławek as well as local initiatives for restoration the economic importance of the Vistula.
Moreover, during the workshops, the participants showed aerial photographs of the hydrological condition of the Vistula. In the meeting took part the representatives of municipal offices from Płock, Toruń, Grudziądz and Włocławek, from the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, RZGW in Gdańsk and Warsaw, National Water Management Authority, Meteorology and Water Management Institute, Spatial and Regional Planning office from Kujawy-Pomeranian Region, Kujawy Economic Association in Włocławek as well as Masovia Office for Regional Planning in Warsaw.
The scientific and self-governmental conferences are organized since 2007. They are constantly present in the schedule of events focused on water management which attract scientists, self-government members, entrepreneurs, ecologists and government administration institutions.
